3 Day CITY&GUILDS HIGH RISK CONFINED SPACE INCL. ENTRY CONTROL (6160-03/6160-04)

• Interpret the Water UK Confined Space classification scheme identification of confined spaces
• Risk assess residual hazards
• Recognise changing environments
• Use and interpret gas monitors to verify safe atmospheres
• Understand the nature and occurrence of problem atmospheres
• Use ancillary safety items – harness, ropes, winches and life lines
• Work following a safety system of work
• React positively in an emergency situation
• Prepare breathing apparatus for use, observing duration indicators and user checks, don and wear breathing apparatus correctly observing all fitting and performance checks
• Actions and responsibilities of an Entry Controller (Top man)

Recommended refresher training

It is normal practice for these to be retaken on a 3 year cycle.
