Course Booking (Individuals)

Petans will process data given to us by you using the lawfulness of Contract under one or more of the following:

  • Petans have a contract with you, the individual and need to process your personal data to comply with Petans obligations under the contract.
  • Petans haven’t yet got a contract with you, the individual, but you have asked Petans to do something as a first step (eg provide a quote) and Petans need to process your personal data to do what they have been asked.

Course Bookings (Company), Data Sharing and Other Contact

Petans will process data given to us by you using the lawfulness of Legitimate Interest in the booking, completion and certification of training courses and/or resources held at Petans premises or delivered by Petans staff or appointed sub-contractors. 

In the processing of your data we will ensure that it is both necessary and that there is no less intrusive way to achieve the same result.  We are committed to only use individual’s data in ways they would reasonably expect, unless we have a very good reason.

Where we process your data we will only do so as per your documented instructions.  Should you wish us not to process your data in the course of our activities listed above please notify us in writing, titling the letter GDPR.

GDPR – Petans Staff and Resources

Petans commit to ensuring that its staff and resources are subject to a duty of confidence and takes appropriate measures to ensure the security of processing including the notification of personal data breaches and appropriate reviews of data protection impact assessments.

We will only engage a sub-processor with the prior consent of the data controller and a written contract and will assist the data controller in providing subject access and allowing data subjects to exercise their rights under the GDPR including that of withdrawal.

Petans will delete or return all personal data to the controller as requested in line with the requirements of the awarding or accreditation body which would signify the end of the contract.
